100th

Today is the 100th International Women's Day. This day originally commemorates the murder of 129 women who were set on fire inside a textile factory in New York in 1908. They were standing for their labor rights. The owners of the factory rejected their petitions and locked them inside the factory which was then set on fire. Nowadays, it gained a new meaning, it's a celebration of women but we shouldn't forget about the hard fight to gain rights and that in many countries there are still women in subservience.
